The simple answer is YES. But if you still aren’t totally convinced, here are a few of the top reasons why Batman is a firm believers in adopting animals.
Reasons to adopt over buy a pet:
- Because adoption helps more than just one animal. When you adopt one animal, there is room for another one to replace it in a shelter (sad but true), meaning there’s more room for those waiting to be adopted — which slows down the rate of animals getting euthanized.
- It saves you money. Adopting is much cheaper than buying puppies or kittens at a pet store. And besides the heartfelt reasons, it also helps keep money in your wallet.
- You save a life. If you or no one else adopts the animal, they more than likely will be euthanized (killed). You’ll feel better saving an animal, and the animal will love you so much more after finally finding a loving home. Trust us, they appreciate it.
- It’s good for your health (and conscious). According to scientists, it’s been proven that pet owners tend to have lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Dogs also reduce stress and prevent loneliness. Having a companion that depends on you to feed and love it gives you responsibility and meaning in your day.
